Adopt-a-Trail
As part of the City of Pflugerville's Adopt-a-Trail program,
Creekside has "adopted" the trail through the neighborhood.
Adopt-a-Trail allows citizens to take pride in their community and
help keep the costs of litter collection under control. Creekside
organizes four clean-up days per year including the citywide "Keep
Pflugerville Beautiful Trash Off" each March.
Garage Sales
Each Spring and Fall, Creekside Neighborhood Association (CNA)
coordinates a neighborhood garage sale. CNA arranges for advertising
and signs, and neighbors who choose to participate, just put their
stuff out and sell sell sell!
Egg Hunt
The Creekside Eggstravaganza has become a favorite annual event
in Creekside. Over a thousand eggs are hidden and within just a few
minutes the neighborhood kids have scooped them all up!
National Night Out
The biggest annual activity in Creekside is the National Night
Out Against Crime and Drugs party on the first Tuesday in August.
Regular visitors to this fun-filled neighborhood tradition include
members of the Pflugerville Police Dept, Pflugerville Fire Dept,
Travis County Sheriff's Dept., Constable's Office, elected
officials, and 150-200+ Creekside neighbors!
Halloween Parade
Each year neighborhood kids show off their costumes and parade
along the hike-and-bike trail near Creekside Park
Annual Food Drive
A food drive is held each year in December to collect food for
needy families. Neighbors, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts
traditionally help pick up the food. Volunteers are always needed
and welcome! In 2005 over half the Creekside residents participated
by donating a total of over 1,400 food items to the North Rural
Community Center (this region's Capital Area Food Bank).
Festival of Lights
Every December, Creekside becomes a "winter wonderland" of
beautifully lighted and decorated homes. Winners are chosen by
neighborhood block captains for the best displays.
