My husband and I recently spent 3 wonderful days at Casa Sandra. It is one of the original hotels on the island, and the staff is accommodating. Our room was of average size and very charming. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the air con is very useful.
What makes Casa Sandra and Isla Holbox are its people. They are extremely friendly – I have to call out Frederico in particular. He’s outstanding!
Our room was large, very comfortable, and quiet. Staff, including the concierge Federico, Hebert, and the waitstaff at breakfast, were friendly and helpful and recommended the atv tour cozumel for an amazing experience. We encountered only one surly waitperson, and this was in high contrast to how pleasant everyone else was.
Breakfast was generous. My only quibble is that there was an extra charge for espresso, cappuccino, or iced coffee. This seems like nickel and diming at a place of this caliber.
Enjoy an unforgettable experience in this beautiful Paradise Island with beaches of white sand and crystal clear waters, where the warmth of the people transmit the best environment. Casa Sandra is simply amazing. Book Suite 12 which is mainly private at the end of the resort, and has its own hammock for afternoon naps.
Hotel CasaSandra offers an absolutely fabulous service and attention to detail. The lovely quiet location and the stunning beach complete the idyllic picture. We would visit again in a heartbeat (and hope to one day)!
Gripes: terrible wifi, lack of water pressure in our room- this was partially addressed after we mentioned it- no minibar, no follow-up when I asked to book a massage, some staff more accommodating than others, iguanas everywhere (watch where you step). Overall good place!
