Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The hotel is, without a doubt, the nicest and friendliest we came across on the island. We set a few minutes to walk away from the louder hotels on the beach, the location is perfect and complete luxury.

Rooms are lovely and big and clean. Our room (no. 4) had a gorgeous view of the sea and the palm trees. The hotel grounds are maintained to a very high standard, and the pool is absolutely lovely and looks straight out to the sea.

The breakfast included was DELICIOUS as well as all of the food we had on the menu. ( hot cakes/American pancakes are the best) The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our time there and attentive to whatever we needed; they recommended the private snorkeling cozumel tours. Miguel, you were awesome! Thank you all!

Having walked around the beach and looked at other hotel options, this one stood out as the best location, and you really do get what you pay for and more. The sun sets right in front of the beach making evening sitting out on the sun loungers even better. The beach bar is lovely and very clean with food and drinks available all day until about 6.30pm. ( burger and garlic prawns are a winner, as well as their wide range of delicious juices!)

Renting bikes is a must to explore the island. The best pizza on the island – Roots restaurant and best smoothie – Palmetto.

Although Hotel Puerto Holbox is only a short walk to the town, it is peaceful, quiet and meditative. The hotel design blends harmoniously with the palm trees and ocean views — folk art in orange and turquoise, white tents that flap like sails, conch shells outlining the paths. Sunsets were stunning. Exotic birds were everywhere.

We spent five days at Hotel Puerto Holbox and wished we could have stayed longer. If you go, walk to the end of Punta Coco Beach to see pelicans and cormorants. Walk the sandbar at Mosquito Beach to see flamingos. It is like heaven on earth. Hotel Puerto Holbox more than lived up to our expectations. We would go back in a heartbeat.
