We had an excellent time at Kinta Kan! A cute set-up with the pool and hammocks. The outside kitchen was excellent; the breakfast was just cereal, toast, coffee. Room was spotless and had a lot of space. Very safe also. Daniel and Mario were great hosts.
We stayed at the very new Kinta Kan Hotel during Christmas/New Years, and while we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it seemed like they were having a “soft opening” since the reception area. We heard about the sea trek cozumel tour near the hotel. We might try it next time.
The rooms are comfortable and are all facing the courtyard/swimming pool area, which is very cozy. However, if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best for you, as the doors and windows did not provide any soundproofing at all. We learned the hard way when the kids in the family to doors down started unpacking & playing with their presents on Christmas Morning!
Staff was super friendly and did their very best to accommodate us, even though there were some language challenges as none of us speak Spanish. Quiet neighborhood and the distance to “downtown” was OK, about 10 minutes walk to the main square. To our surprise, simple breakfast included, and there was a small but functional communal kitchen area with purified water. Great place.
