NNO will be
on Tuesday, August 7 at Creekside Park.
Dear Creekside
Neighbors,
National Night Out (NNO) is right around the corner!
NNO will be on Tuesday, August 7th from 7-10 pm at Creekside Park and we
need your help. If you aren't familiar with NNO, it is an annual event
where neighborhoods throughout Pflugerville join forces with thousands
of communities nationwide to strengthen law enforcement/citizen contact
and cooperation, and helps make our community a safer place to live.
Creekside will have our neighborhood-wide gathering at Creekside Park.
Each year, 150-200 neighbors get together for drinks, pizza, snacks, pfun
activities for kids and door prizes!
Below are some things we are planning for this year --- our 12th annual
NNO in Creekside!
If you can volunteer or bring any of the following items, please let us
know.
Best regards,
Lauren & Richard Mireles
Creekside Neighborhood Association co-Presidents

It appears that Creekside continues to be targeted
for criminal activity. Just
yesterday (5/01) there was an
attempted burglary that was thwarted by Pflugerville Police; however,
last week
another neighbor was not so fortunate. That
makes two reported burglarized homes (during daytime hours) and one
attempted burglary in less than two months.
These crimes have happened on
different neighborhood streets--some near the greenbelt and some on
interior streets. We need to band together as neighbors to curb this
activity immediately. Be sure to take appropriate measures in/around
your home to reduce the likelihood of being the next victim. In
addition, please keep an eye out and report ANY suspicious activities or
people to the Pflugerville Police Dept at 251-4004.
Thanks,
Richard Mireles
CNA Co-President

2007 Annual Creekside
Eggstravaganza
The 2007 Annual Creekside
Eggstravaganza was once again a great success! About 50 neighborhood children
and their parents gathered on a beautiful sunny afternoon on April 1 to hunt
for eggs. In about 10 minutes all 1100 eggs had been found! Thanks Jessica for
coordinating this pfun-pfilled annual event! (See photo section)

Watch
out for Snakes
Be very
careful of snakes especially for houses that back up to the creek. We just had
on Thursday Sep 21st, one of neighbor's dog on Geyser Ave to get bit by a rattle
snake and was in critical condition. The family is very upset by this, they had
the dog for several years and has been friendly to neighbors.

New Newsletter Delivery
Roster
Block captains, check out
the link in the block captains section to our discussion board where you can
check a box to notify when the newsletters have been delivered on your
street. This is to help us know which streets have had our newsletters
delivered. Sometimes our neighbors may call to say they didn't receive one,
and this tool can help to see if the newsletters were delivered for their
street or not. This is not to see which block captain is doing their job,
but to be a help with keeping our neighbors informed and ensure everyone
gets a newsletter. Thanks for your cooperation.

Pickup Stolen in Creekside--Watch
Video of Possible Suspect
Early in the morning of May 23, a 2005 Ford F150 4Dr Black Pickup with silver
lower trim, was stolen from the home of a Creekside neighbor living on
Princeton Cove.
The person and/or persons who stole the vehicle, seem to have intimate
knowledge of the Pflugerville area. The owners, like others with recent hail
damage, had a new roof put on recently and noted that have been a number of
contractors, estimators, and laborers in the Creekside area. They feel that
someone scoped out their home and vehicles for this crime.
This person and/or persons also committed credit card fraud and check
forgeries in connection with this incident. The owners and the police feel
that someone in the Pflugerville area either knows this person or has seen
this person in the Home Depot (Sunset Valley) video which was sent by the
Sunset Valley Police Department.
The pickup was eventually recovered at 12318 Blue Water Drive between Parmer
Lane and John Connally High School.
A whole lot of innocence, security, and confidence was lost by our neighbors
on Princeton Cove in Creekside. They never thought this would happen to them
and they want all in Creekside and Pflugerville to know about this crime and
the thief and/or thieves apprehended and punished.
If you have any knowledge of who might have stolen the vehicle and/or
committed the related credit card fraud and check forgeries, please contact
the Pflugerville Police Department at 512-251-4004.
